Yes Miami Devious is still playing!
We
have had a few injuries and some financial problems but we have now
resolved both and we will be playing Houston September 19th. We are sad
to say that DeVito will be out for the rest of the year nursing a torn
ACL, we wish him a full and speedy recovery. Derek has the use of his
hand again and is ready to go.
Spray Paint our old practice
field has closed so we have found a new home at Big Shots, 10200 SW 186
street. Larry and the rest of the crew has done a great job at this
indoor field! No rain, no sun, good AC and lighting, not a bad place to
practice, come on out and give them a try. Big Shot's web site www.bigshopb.com we usually practice Thursday nights and Sunday mornings.
Miami Devious wins again! We drove up to CFP on Sunday 3:00am and made
the field by 7:00am, everyone got set up and went to work. Justin,
Jose, Julio, Spencer and Brandon played flawlessly only dropping one
game to the defending amateur division winners in the prelims. Going
into the finales in first place DVS won all three games to secure 1st
place for the event.
As in the last time we visited CFP, the fields were beautiful, the refs
were good and about their business, and the folks were friendly! We made
a few new friends and we will try and return for the April event.
